This week has been a busy week with lots of boring normal job stuff, mixed with a little fun work and a festival. I attended a Summer Solstice Festival, in which I had a great time at, despite the torrential downpour that occurred during the event. One of the best parts about this event was the fact I meet Bruce Williams, an Assistant Writer for Disney and former game programmer. We talked about his previous projects which include Call of Duty Modern Warfare remake, where he designed the mission where you clear a house. We chatted about his work with the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077, but no spoilers from here! We also talked about his work on Minecraft. We dove into talking about him being the Assistant Writer for the second to last episode of The Mandalorian as well. Then we talked about our upcoming project, Destiny’s End. After our chat over grabbing food while he was taking a break (he was cosplaying as a Viking). We linked up on Facebook for further contact. So, this week has been great as I was able to network with someone like-minded and in the field. It is always good to make contacts because that opens up doors you never knew you had access to.
